This is one way to tile over chipboard....

No need to prime,
No need to overboard,
No need for an uncoupling membrane,(Have you seen the price!)
Use a sand and cement bedding mortar(Go very easy on the cement,10/1 should do it)

Tile the whole ground floor of your extended bungalow(150m2+)
No need for expansion joints at the doorways(Believe me you won't need them!)
5mm lippage from tile to tile is ok (Adds to the rustic charm?)
Use a stronger sand and cement mix for the grout,(It doesn't need to be accurately measured out every batch,a different colour in every room is perfectly acceptable)
Sell your house to an unsuspecting buyer(gullible idiot) and
Runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
