Evening lads, i am in the middle of a job where the customer wants a part tile continuing from the floor onto the wall (acting as a skirting board) a straight forward job until i scored and tried to crack the tiles, only 1 in 4 tiles followed the score line the others just broke away in their own direction, i even changed manual cutters from my standard heavy duty to my rubi ts 60 plus but it was the same result, eventually i had to cut them using my angle grinder, i had this problem with a tile about 2 years ago but have never had a problem since until today. The tile was a straight forward 330 x330 x 7.77mm thick floor tile, ceramic with a rippled / splash effect finish, the only solution i can come up with is that it was a poor quality tile but even then they should cut straight shouldn,t they?? does anybody have any orther ideas why this happend??? Thanks in advance for any information!!!
