I've used Ultimate for direct fixing to chipboard (small areas I'm sorry!) and onto fibreglass/resin. It really does bond like something very bondy.

So which do you think is the best for overlaid timber.......ultimate or setaflex ?

Setaflex is made for the job and if there is too much movement for that then you shouldn't be tiling it !

ultimate probably the best adhesive ive used the only one ive used that is better is bal fast flex
