Quick question.....I'm looking at doing a website, Just checked a few different domain websites and they all have different results when I search the domain name i'm looking for. Some say it's taken and some say it's not...........Um confused.com:ban:

is it .co.uk or .com you are after?

for .co.uk go to nominet.org.uk, you can't register through nominet but they administer all the .co.uk domains, so if you search on their website it will give you the exact details of any domain you wish:thumbsup:

Not sure, but if it's any help when I bought mine I was a total novice where all that was concerned and was advised to use GoDaddy - as they are supposedly reliable, and no problems so far.

Looks good..

The thing i have just noticed is that when you look at your photos and click on one expecting it to enlarge on the same page it goes to flicker, not keen on that..that could be off putting IMO mate.

Not had a full look around yet but first impressions with the rest is good.. just the pics thing so far.

That should only happen in the portfolios section so it displays a slideshow and it shouldn't direct you away from the site as it's embedded.

the images on other pages don't do any thing at the moment but will enlarge.

hang on a minute!! i've just realised what you're doing, your clicking on an image after the slide show has started playing aren't you?? Damn it, it does take you to flickr:mad2::mad2::mad2: I didn't know that!!!!:mad2::mad2:

If you want to enlarge to full screen then when the sldie show starts there is an icon with 4 arrows... that takes you full screen

But thanks for pointing that out:thumbsup:, i'll either try to stop it or change the programme I use to show the portfolios.

Other eyes help.. best to sort bugs now than a customer come across it and leave..LOL..

And yes i clicked an image after the slide show started..

Very true. When your building a website you already have it in the back of you mind how it works so when it comes to testing you really have to get other people to look at it

I've already changed quite a bit as I've had mates round who i've asked to use it. I watch over their shoulders and i'm constantly amazed on what they try to click as it had never occured to me that people would

Any other advice welcome guys:thumbsup: as I said I know some pages are missing but anything you don't like about it let me know:thumbsup:

Ok 4 weeks later i'm getting round to sorting this out! I still can't stop it re-directing when playing in the slideshow, I think i'm gonna have to use different software for that all together.

But I am now working my way through the thumbnails on all the other pages, which is taking an age as it all has to be done by hand

anyway he's one page i've done, what do you think, is that what you expected?
