Tiling a Floor

Personally when I tile a floor I do all the cuts as I go. Some tilers seem to lay all the full tiles then do the cuts, can't see the advantage in this, got to be easier as you go like spreading addy up to skirting and cutting in am I wrong.

this depends on the floor if it a geometric with boarders field down first. if its a floor with no complcated boarders then put the cuts in as you go. not all floors are the same

as above, depends on what tiles you using. If it's bigger then 300x300 tiles, you do full tiles first, then you can do only cuts, so mark and cut 10 or more tiles ( so it saves time, as you walk to tile cutter only ones)

The majority of floors that i do are stone.. so they are cut in as i go but as above certain floors are handy to do a few cuts for marking out etc, then on Geo floors then totally different again..

best way is to take each floor at face value and do what works best for you, no 2 tilers work the same way..

I tend to set out the whole room, cut and dry fit 2-3 rows at a time and then fix them. It works for me.

For a small bathroom floor I may do all the cuts at once and then just go for it in 2 mixes.

Like Dave said you have to take each floor as it comes, 4m in one room can be different to 4m in another
