Personally when I tile a floor I do all the cuts as I go. Some tilers seem to lay all the full tiles then do the cuts, can't see the advantage in this, got to be easier as you go like spreading addy up to skirting and cutting in am I wrong.
as above, depends on what tiles you using. If it's bigger then 300x300 tiles, you do full tiles first, then you can do only cuts, so mark and cut 10 or more tiles ( so it saves time, as you walk to tile cutter only ones) :thumbsup:

I tend to set out the whole room, cut and dry fit 2-3 rows at a time and then fix them. It works for me.

For a small bathroom floor I may do all the cuts at once and then just go for it in 2 mixes.

Like Dave said you have to take each floor as it comes, 4m in one room can be different to 4m in another
