tiling a shower room

Hi there can anyone help. I am tiling a shower room in my loft. I will tiling directly onto exterior ply. Should i prime with unibond or should i use a primer? I will be using Ardex D30 tile adhesive. Thanks

I would use a rapid setting flexible adhesive( white), but i would also use a tanking membrane to waterproof the ply.....use the adhesive to apply the membrane and tile with....This will prevent any water from swelling the ply through ingression in the joints...

You might want to consider using a cement based adhesive instead of the Ardex D30 if you tank out. Might take the addy a while to dry otherwise.
