Tiling above an arga.

Been asked to tile above an arga.
The wall is brickwork with render.It will be switched off 48 hrs before tiling,to cool.
Tile will only be 130 x130 x 6 ceramics.Qty of 18 or 27. (2 or 3 Rows).
The wall is more hot to the touch than warm.The flue is 30mm from the wall ( very hot ). The arga is in constant use.

1. Is there a coating that can go on the wall?

2. Is a normal powdered addy & grout going to be good enough ?

3. How long before it can be switched back on ? (7 days ?)

You can tile as normal behind an Aga, just use flexy addy and grout and don't burn your fingers!! Rapid set adhesive should be sufficiently cured in a couple of days I would have thought not to be effected, though that is a bit of an assumption.

I always use a rapid set flexi with Mapei ultracolour grout - never had an issue.
In most cases the Aga is never switched off.
