Not strictly tiling but hope you guys have some experience that can help me.
I'm about to tile my bathroom wall and I want to fix a large (roughly 3' x 4') mirror to the wall and tile around it. I have the mirror (just a plain sheet of glass with silvered backing - no frame) and the tiles. What I can't figure out is how to trim it around the edge. I'm reluctant to just butt the tiles up against the mirror partly because I don't think it will look right and partly because the mirror is old and although in otherwise good condition the silver backing is a little tatty at the edges.
What I had in mind is putting a shiny silver trim strip around the edge. Something like a U channel or a tile edging trim. Trouble is I can't find anything like that from the usual suppliers. I can find something close but it's too big - the mirror is only 4mm thick.
Any suggestions for where I might find something like that? Or any better ideas?
