Tiling around radiator pipes?!?!?

Hello (again!),

I have two pipes coming out of the bathroom floor (about 8cm away from the wall) ready for the chrome ladder radiator to be added. I'm using classic limestone tiling however what's the best and easierst way to tile around the pipes?

Should I cut a wedge out of the tile so that it stides around the pipe or should I drill a hole in the tile so that is goes over the pipe? If the latter what drill bit should I use and where would I get it from (B&Q, wickes, interenet?)

Cheers

Hi Rob, definatley drill the holes if possible, much neater. Check out 365 drills for what you need. He`s a sponser you`ll see listed on the right hand side of the page!

Hey mate,

I prefer the look of it being drilled, you can get the drill pieces from either 365 drills on here or i have the plasplugs one which i quite like but can be hard to find. You will probably only find these in a local tile shop.

Thanks guys...to be honest I was thinking of drilling them as they will look loads better I'll have a chat with 365 and see what they recommend, however having looked at the cost of the drill bits (£30 + ) surely there is a cheaper version? I only need to drill the two holes and then I won't use the drill bit again.

Any ideas?

Are you sure you won`t ever use it again? If so then maybe something from Wickes for ease but i wouldn`t know what to advise to get i`m afraid

I'm 100% sure I won't use it again so I might as well have a look at Wickes/B&Q etc.

Or if there is anyone close to you on here geographically maybe you could just borrow one?
