Tiling issues paying to dispose of tile waste

This is interesting if you are saying that a builder/tiler has to pay to take away and dispose of offcuts/tiles when I live 5 minutes away from a recycling centre and don't have to pay to dispose of them, then why would he want to take them with him and then have to pay to dispose of the offcuts out of his own pocket? Confused.com
 
I'm sure you can take them yourself then and the tiler wouldn't charge you.

But if a tiler is carrying waste they have to have a commercial waste licence and can be fined without one. As with any other trade. So its fair to expect waste removal charges. Although in most cases it's just priced in the job along with labour as it can be a per meter cost. 10 square meters of tiling to do means 10 square meters of tiling and adhesive needs discarding and is as heavy as the new tiles. If you think about it that way it can seem reasonable to expect a cost attached.

Tell us more though. Have you spoken to the tiler about this?
