This one wasn't my misstake, but it was certainly a misshap :wallbash:

Some time last year, I was laying a floor, and I was nearly done. All of a sudden, a sparky pushes past me as I was laying the final tiles in the doorway, the ******* skids on my freshly laid tiles, and half the floor is ruined :mad5: I asked him "why the :censored: did you do that for!?!" and he answered "forgot a screwdriver..."

This one is toilet humour but here goes....

Doing a job a few years ago with my brother (fitting Amtico not tiles, sorry)
The two of us are in the hallway chatting to the owner of the house, I noticed that my brother was standing a bit funny and he seemed to be shaking a little.
Anyway we finished chatting and as soon as the lady has gone he erupts in to hysterical fits much to my amazement.

He calms down and between fits of laughter manages to tell me that whilst talking he got a wierd sudden urge to do a number 2 and as mr crayon poked his head out he snipped off a little marble of you know what. He wasn't wearing any pants and the marble rolled down his leg and out of the bottom of his snickers and across the floor without us noticing.

When i was about 18 ,i was tiling my uncle's bathroom, half height aaround the sanitary wall and full over the bath,i was packing my tools away and my hammer was on the window cill i went to pick it up and proceeded to drop it through his brand spanking new sink ,it went straight through and landed on his brand new toilet brush holder he had just placed in the bathroom.:furious3:

Another one, i tiled a close on 400m2 floor and had just layed the last tile when the client came on site and said she was'nt happy with the finish, luckily for me she had no problem with the tiling she just did'nt like the all cream finish of the tile, she had the builder take them all up and i re-tiled it the following week using the same colour tile but with a reddish border running through it, was great got paid twice.

That reminds me, I have a 2" scar on my left palm from a chisel which I was stupidly trying to use to remove crap from the back of a tile. Spent the night in Addenbrooks so they could stitch me up and check the tendons that I'd nicked.

I still have no feeling in part of my hand to this day.

The funniest bit was when the lad who took me to hospital feinted as the nurse looked at the wound.........he must have been 6'2" and he went down like a sack of spuds:grin:

Last one..........

Tiling a Marshall Vauxhall showroom in Ely a few years ago. Typical showroom job, large format tiles and endless mixing of PTB. Working nights so trade not interupted

Anyway the 3 of us are inside when we hear this commotion and rush out to find some ****ed up local lad, on his way home from the pub, bent over one of our gorilla tubs honking his guts out. Turns out he was thirsty so he had been drinking the water out of the tub we where cleaning all our kit in and made himself pretty ill

He still managed to stagger off up the road and we never saw him again.
