Tiling on chipboard - why not?

not for deflection it won't. Make sure chipboard is screwed down securely.

it will help if it has some kind of wax or moisture resistance substance on top though but the floor needs to be deflection free.

looks like a few converts to backerboards from ply. For those of you that have, do you still go for the same thickness?

Where do I get the backer boards from?? Got a floor to replace before I tile it and gona give this a bash.

Also how does it get laid on the the new floor??

topps tiles/wickes any good tile specialist store and you use flexible tile adhesive and screw it :hurray:

Ok I have a floor to do but the customer is concerned about the height difference from the bathroom to the hallway. Now if I use 6mm Hardi and tile with say a 8mm thick tile what will the height difference be?

What do I do as the customer does not want too much of a height difference even though I have said it's the best option??
