Tiling on to a painted wall

I've not tried it myself but I've read that you can apply some cheap tubbed addy onto the emulsion paint, leave it for a bit then scrape it off and the emulsion paint comes off too.

Will give the paint stripper a go next time,I sanded then scored with a paper scorer,then primed,then mosaics,thanks for the input guys.

Belt sander takes it off well.
