Tiling on wayrock

OK, thanks guys.

I will use one of the two methods, after measuring the thikness of my underlay and carpet there wont be a huge difference in height. Which is the best one to use? Nomoreply or the other one. The nomoreply seems the easiest to lay so would be my prefered option, but i'm open to suggestions.

Wedi do a 4mm board which needs to be glued and screwed but you would need to make sure that your floor is solid to be sure of integrity. Some tilers do tile straight onto chipboard and sometimes it works out ok but it is not widely recommended now as you can see. There are a number of adhesives that will do the job ok but as Dave said previously, it isn't the adhesive thats the problem, it is the chipboard breaking down that causes failure normally.

i am not a fan of tiling on wayrock, even with a backerboard overlaid for surface stability. i remove and replace when ever the funds allow. just too much 'give' in them over time for my liking.

Mine was the recommended min for tiling onto.. BS 5385 ..
