A couple of things you could try, a heat gun and scraper will remove most vinyl adhesives but will leave a little residue. You could then use a polymer enhanced self leveling compound (slc) leave to go off, then tile, or you could stabilize the floor by brushing on a slurry mix of sbr. and a good cement based adhesive. I would try the first option myself. What is the sub-strate btw?:thumbsup:
