Tiling onto lino?

Can this be done?
i have lino on my kitchen floor which is now going to be tiled. i was told by pulling the lino up it reactivates the glue which i guess will make it a sticky mess. If i do pull up should i primer the concrete floor before laying? And which primer should i use weber is my easyest supplyer to get hold of so somthing in that range if any body knows.

it could be done but, I would not advise it.

Best to lift lino and abrade the concrete floor and then prime.

you can get various attatchments for grinders that can be used to abrade, plane concrete and remove residues. You can hire power tools from your local hire shops e.g. HHS Tool hire or speedy etc.

If its a very small area you could try using a stiff wire brush and some good old elbow grease to remove as much as possible.

The floor covering deffo needs to come up, then see what residue is left..

The use of a heat gun will soften the residue and you can scrape up the best part of it, then slurry coat or latex slc the floor before tiling..
