Tiling onto painted concrete

Afternoon chaps,
I have a approx 600m of porcelain to lay onto a concrete floor which is painted. It's located in a public area so will need to be done in sections. Any suggestions for prepping the concrete? Thought about scabbling/ sanding but concerned about dust.. Are there any primers I could use without sanding??
Also any suggestions toward regularity of expansion joints( the area is basically a big square).

I'll find out on Monday, I presume it's standard garage floor paint, but will let you know.cheers

If it is adhered well,then epoxy primers are good and depending on paint finish a slurry coat will suffice

best to remove at least 90% of the paint

If it's in a public area theres more than a good chance it will be two part one.

Simple test to see how well the paint is;
Stick a strip of duck tape down, leave for 10/15 mins, peel off. If the paint flakes off it is best to score large areas.

i did a job like this, i hired a floor ginder and took off the surface of the concrete & then primed. saved any worrying.

Expansion joints should be placed every 6 meters I think
