Hi all, i need to quote on a job in a flat tomorrow, which is to tile one bathroom floor which has new marine grade ply screwed down and one kitchen floor which has chipboard down.the plywood is straight forward enough.I can go straight on with flexible addy ( do i need to prime first?)
regarding the chipboard, the lady said it was tiled before but it was 'uneven' and these have been taken up (she has bought the new tiles, porcelain i think). i've read all the threads on here about chipboard so i know the score with what i should do,but my question is, if it had tiles on before and as long as she tells me there was no issue with cracking of any sort, and it seems sound enough, can i go straight back on to it with new tiles ? or should i make all the usual recommendations to her, like new ply or using 6mm backer board? thanks for your help so far with the forums, its the best advice site on line by far...
