Hi all

i have just taken up some lino that was stuck down with bithumen (not quite sure if thats the correct spelling) i managed to get up most of the chewing gum like bithumen but there is also a black stain all over the floor, this black stain is not sticky and i can't see a reason why i can't go straight over it. Does anyone know what this staining is and am i right to think i can tile straight over?

Ps in order to remove this stain i would basically have to take up a layer of concrete with it, which would be a shame as for once the floor is perfectly flat all round

Your thoughts please

Thanks
