Tiling Questions from absolute newbie

If he was going to use PVA it doesn't sound like you would have learnt from him anyway....(not that I know anything either! )

If he was going to use PVA then I would have serious reservations about him tiling in my house.
The alarm bells would have been ringing straight away.

Watched my ex business partner carrying 6mm ply into a house the other day.
Been tiling 16yrs & will never ever learn, oh & he still uses PVA.

why are you priming new Plasterboard exactly ??

The tiles I bought does not require sealing. The grout used is Mapei ultracolour (Jasmine).

To protect the floor grout from stain, is there a sealer that i can use?

As for priming plasterboard go with manufacturers advice on the bag of adhesive you are going to use.

cheers, I'll give the sealant a go once all competed.
The Mrs has informed me that the tiler has now finished Tiling & grouting, so looks like I will see the plumber when he comes to finish off the rest tomorrow.

Is Corning 785 sanitary sealant ideal for sealing round basin or should I be looking for better.

Dow Corning is spot on, great Silicon.

You can get a colour match Silicon to go with your grout, Mapei Silicon is very good.
