Tiling Questions from absolute newbie

cheers about the mapei silicon sealant, plumber had already sealed with the coning that I bought.

Got home last friday and the tiler had done a good job. Plumber finished off the everything else on Saturday so well pleased.

My only gripe was that the Tiler did not clean the tiles (properly) as it still seems to be covered in dust which I presume is from the grouting ... but I can only assume that was down to time.

What can I get from the tiling shop to give everything a good clean?

It will probably be grout residue that's left on the surface of the tile, wipe with a dry cloth to remove & polish up the surface.

Get the lazy 'tiler' back and tell him it's his job to leave the job clean and tidy!

grout residue on tiles, is pretty normal, especially on Porcelain rectified, as we don't want to recess the grout by washing it too much, better the grout flush'ish with the tile, as opposed to recessed and clean tiles.. glad you are happy.... remember... trust in your tradesman is crucial for their sakes, and your peace of mind ;-)
