Can any of you guys suggest the easiest way to tile the underside of these stairs (see pic). Tiles will be 12x10 ceramic. Will they hold in place or do I need to support them somejhow? Any suggestion on adhesive to use?
Obviously the artex and light will be removed beforehand.

Never done that type of job but I am pretty sure that any good adhesive will hold that size of ceramic OK. is the surface to be tiled plasterboard?

Funny tiling. Go ahead like this:
- Prime the boards to prevent moisture reching the gypsum plaster.
- Take an adhesive C2FT or C2FTE acc. to EN 12004. The (T) tixotrophic component and the (F) fast hardening will help to keep the tiles in place.
- Buttering-floating should be done for good tile´s backside covering and helps to withstand the earth´s gravity force which is trying "to suck" the tiles.

Onto plasterboard like that I would only recommend mosaics, fixed with mosaic fix from bal.........Gaz

Use backer board and flexi cement based adhesive and flexi grout....make sure you get a solid fix.....it needs to be solid to take any movment from the stairs.....

thats a weird one, never been asked to tile a roof before, just watch that the tiles are not too heavy incase the fall, dont think i would do that job im afraid.
