Just tell her mate that if the whole kitchen is to be tiled then when you are to start the job could she have all the units out ready for you. You are a tiler not a kitchen fitter, to take on the job of removing a kitchen and reinstalling would really be madness. If something goes wrong you are buggered.
She needs to get a joiner/kitchen fitter in.
If she is still adamant that the units are to come out then speak with a joiner and sub him the work, just add his cost on the invoice.

Some of the work some customers want done by a tiler is laughable sometimes.
Similar thing a customer of mine wanted a few days ago when i priced up a large kitchen floor : "i want my sink unit moved over to that side of the room, could you do that?"
"no"

Don't get involved in too much "extra" work.
Making a claim on your liability insurance when you have knackered up a kitchen suite:
"hang on, we have you down as a tiler"

MICK the Tiler

This kind of request really gets on my GOAT!!!!! big time.

Who does she think we are, she's as dumb as DOG SH*T if you ask me.

Tell her "Yes certainly madam I keep a fully stocked mobile 15tonne hardware store out in your driveway won't take but a second to whip your kitchen out and have those tiles down and benches re-installed ready for you to cook dinner for your loving family tonite"

Then when she replies "REALLY" Tell her "ONLY WHEN HELL FREZES OVER AND PIGS GROW WINGS AND YOU GROW A BRAIN"

But all that doesn't matter because "HEY THE BLOKE AT THE TILE SHOP SAID IT COULD BE DONE" he deserves an uppercut.

I'd like to thank everyone for their comments and help. It's really appreciated. I went back to the house last night and this time the husband was home and he also couldn't understand what she was on about. He told me in front of her, to "forget everything the mad cow had said and just to do what i was going to do in the first place."

Starting the job in the morning. Husband won't be there, but he has told me to ignore everything the missus tells me and to do whatever i think.

Again, thanks to everyone for their comments!
