timings on firs job

am currently doing a bathroom it is 2.5m2 floor and 6m2 of wall all ceramice tiles, lots of cuts.

all materials have been supplied, using adhesive and grout in one!!!

what would you charge and how long should it take.

please advise as is my first job

It would depend on how awkward the job was, what size the tiles are and if you know the person or not. there are some really informative posts on this site (especially from sWe, where I'm about to link you to now), to give you an idea about pricing!

If it's any help, when I started out, I allowed myself a full week for my first few jobs. I am glad I did because they all took longer than I thought they would.

As an aside, I would not recommend the use of all in one adhesive/grouts. They are two different products designed to do different things. A combined substance will do neither job very well!

As for charging, that depends on the area you are in and how confident you are of doing a first class job, considering it is your first one.

As its your 1st job I would allow a minimum of 4 days. Its better to start off slow and get a reputation for being good rather than rush and bodge it. Set it out carefully and take your time. As for price I would charge around the £500 mark. As for using tile & grout......I would suggest that you speak to the customer and explain that is not what you would normally use and suggest that you supply seperate addy and grout. The tile and grout in my opinion is a waste of money, messy to work with and doesn't give a very good finish.

I would probably price that at around £300-£400 depending on how tricky it is.
