when starting out get down to dunnes stores and get many many pairs of cheapo jeans to catch all that low flying adhesive and grout and best of all to attaract Silicon - i'm sure a couple of my jeans are now 100% waterproof because clear Silicon likes me:ninja:

Another handy piece of kit are cheap washing up sponges.The ones with the scourer on one side. Strong enough to take dry grout residue off on final polish but can use hard enough knowing the tile wont scratch( unless youve got arms like popeye and i aint!!)
