Topps Tiles

I have a topps tiles opened near me, probably the only tile shop in a 50 mile radius (excluding the homebase type)
Are they worth having accounts with, is their adhesive any good and prices any better than CTD?

Think they will do as there's nothing like them in the area.

Topps do not cater to the tradesman, they only care for the diy'er.
No their prices are horrendous, don't use their adhesive so don't know.
But they're handy when needs must, and some tradesman swear by them!
So it's a bit like suck it and see.
If it works for u, then it's a good idea! 🙂

Yes they have 'trade' accounts, of sorts haha
And yes they'll allow your cards to be on display.
But in my experience, every client who has called me from Topps wants the work doing or starting within the week.
I can never accommodate.

I only use them when absolutely necessary. I don't like their own(palace) adhesive and the bal gear is expensive even at trade. Every call I get from a Topps recommendation I state I'll be their most expensive quote, fora reason, to stop me wasting my time.

Never had an account with them or neither would I but it seems the retail side is stronger.

I never used to like my local Topps but they look after me quite good, price match Hardie for me & have had a bit of work from them.
I buy my adhesive in bulk (TileMaster) but there BAL addy is expensive.
There not bad priced for BAL grout though.
I would go in & speak to the manager & find out what they can offer you.
If you don't ask you don't get.

My only decent experience of a Topps was in Southend, though my mate had spent the best part of 6 grand on tiles and Bal gear. Other than that I've always found them to be overpriced with know it all but know nothing overconfident sales staff. Locally, they are my last last choice.

We have 3 in Reading there like he plague!!

There staff are mongrol Mc Donald's rejects !! Ignore any advise they try and give you there all brainless dinlows!!

There tiles are overpriced and very sizey.. There adhesive is ok not a patch on Tilemaster.. There all on comition so they will over sell you tiles and refuse to take back anything under the value of £50..

Iv had some good jobs from my card being in the shops..

I can't stand them as a company, they aren't interested in the trade, just extorting as much money from the unsuspecting public as they can. I've tried not to use them his year but unfortunately I had to buy 2 plastic trims last month as I'd run out.
