Transition from Electrical Engineer/technician to Domestic Electrician Discussion ThreadTransition from Electrical Engineer/technician to Domestic Electrician Electrical Advice

I am currently employed by the RAF as an Electrical Engineer/Technician, but I'm interested in going down the route of a domestic electrician.

I'm wanting to know if anyone else has gone through this transition, and would be able to advise me what the right steps would be in terms of qualifications & courses etc.

I'm guessing that because I've already done an apprenticeship within the electrical sector, that I wouldn't need to do a full domestic apprenticeship?

Qualifications I hold are :
  • Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering Maintenance
  • 18th Edition wiring regs
  • PAT Testing
