normally I do just saw off the bottom of the architrave with a hand saw tho':smilewinkgrin:

:yikes: I just paid £80 for mine from B&Q and £22 for grout blade how depresing, I hate it when I get ripped on prices lol

but it's GREEN!! Nick, the bosch pro range are BLUE! it'll be okay for DIY but i doubt it would stand up to the rigours of use day in day out.

fein and the a ruler, tape measures are not very accurate, with a ruler you can get to within the thickness of rizzla!

Mine is green,had quite a while.
Not used day in day out & only for a few mins at a time

I had the green one and it performed ok.. so at that price then it is great.. i switched to the fein when i had a not to miss chance of purchase.. but it is deffo a lot better and smoother cutter.

Will cut the bottom off if there's no skirting, but if there's skirting then it's a case of cutting a guestimate first and then running the pencil along the architrave to follow the shape.

Sorry lads I made that question as clear as mud, arcitraves was a bad example.

I mean cuts like, round the bottom of shower basins and real complex cuts like the one Yorkshire posted. (great work by the way)

I use thick wallpaper backing paper, I always keep an eye out for cheap rolls in the DIY shops

Felt paper is good for templates, I have some really good methods using this stuff
