"Trim"ing an oval

Good evening chaps/ladies,
I'm doing some work in a Showroom just now, and they have just asked me if I can tile and trim an 'Oval' shaped plinth for a freestanding fancy bath. Both have their challenges, but to 'oval' a trim, I guess I just cut loads of notches out the back of it so it will bend easier ? Metal Trim ( well it would be !)

i cant see that. if you will cut notches they will be visible

most of the trim companies sell formable /bendable metal trim or you can buy a trim bending machine for stainless profiles

Thanks Whitebeam - so you can buy 'off the shelf' exactly what I was thinking of doing; saving me loads of work notching out the back with my trusty 'Evolution' Mitre saw every 10mm for 4.5 Metres !

Hard to properly advise having not seen exactly how acute e curve will be but you could preform the trim along the profile then using string, secure it's shape and transfer it to the dry laid tiles you will be using (obviously you will require reference points. This will allow you to accurately mark the tiles to be cut. Then take the trim and secure it in to place using screws. Cut tiles and fit. This is probably how I would tackle it if I was intending getting a spot on finish but given its a showroom then I'd just bash it lol
