As you can see from the above pics & videos PORSADRILL vacuum brazed diamond cores are designed to work at a higher speed saving time on a job
Retail ready the black diamond cores are supplied in a retail pack which includes the tile drill itself, plus an anti-slip guide plate as well as a water cooling sponge to gain maximum lifespan from the drill bit.
This is a loadbearing screw inside a bathroom cabinet at 8mm. The Turbocore is ideal for this sort of work. It makes light work of C5 Grade porcelain so that installers of bathrooms can simply drill the hole in the tile quickly and efficiently. And then move onto something else.
What should I choose?

The vacuum brazed tip of the diamond core will grind and wear away the surface of the tile.
Often fittings in a bathroom have to bear some weight for example this bracket is part of a set of four for a towel rail. As well as the hefty initial weight of the unit the brackets also have to support the weight of the water (water is quite heavy) and in addition the weight of large wet bath towels. All this has to be calculated carefully by the installer when considering how robust to make the screw holes, the type of screw and also the support behind the tile.
Designed for optimum performance the diamonds are bedded into the metal by a process known as vacuum brazing. An expensive process because it has to be performed inside a vacuum chamber but with the advantage of superior integrity and strength.
Examples of use are in a bathroom to drill a hole for a clamp to hold glass for a shower door.

Another example. Fitting of accessories like a loo roll holder. This double roll holder needs a stronger 8mm hole than a normal 6mm hole due to the size of the unit. Turbo core is available as a 6mm size too !

The diamonds simply grind against the tile to wear away a hole rather than to drill it
What should I choose?
Turbo Cores from 365Drills are a faster way for installers to make holes in porcelain tiles. Optimum drilling speed is about 2000 rpm. That's quite quick. You may want to consider the standard PORSADRILL set of four diamond cores for the same price.
Price wise you can buy a single vacuum brazed core for £30 or for the same price a pack of 4 x standard diamond cores. They all have the same lifespan. The standard diamond cores last longer if used slower and fed with a continuous water feed. A standard pack of four diamond cores will get you about 40 x holes or ten holes per diamond core. A Turbo core will get about 25 holes to 50 holes.
