ufh loose tiles

HI All, need some advise please. i have had to take my bathroom floor up as many tiles have come loose. The floor was tiled 2 years ago the substrate is chipboard which is rigid , i layed the UFH on top of the chipboard and SLC on top then bedded in tiles as i had height issues. i have 22 mm to play with as the threshold is carpet and i dont want a step up. i understand ditra would be ok to lay on top of UFH ? Thanks for any ideas.

Hello Keith, is the slc still intact and which part of the install has debonded? Also which products were used slc/grout/adhesive?

Hi Bri i have taken all the slc ufh tiles up now and have bare chipboard ready for starting again, i cannot remember SLC product and i think i use mapei flex adhesive and grout, the bonding did not taken place on some of the tiles,

If you've got them all up without damaging the chipboard, I'm assuming it didn't bond to that correctly.

Can you not replace the chipboard with marine ply and tile backerboard?

Whatever you do do not tile directly to the chipboard as you have previously done.

ok thank you for your replies im now tiling on backer board....
