I have posted this quite a while ago... so really just to see what the members who haven't seen it think....

Looks good in theory but is it practically..?

Anyone can tile using this system? GGGrrrr!!!

Apart from the dialogue which is infuriating it looks ok, I would try it once just to see how it performs. As with the system to eliminate lippage its one that has to be tested before a judgement can be made.

this has been designed by an engineer, not a bad go, but will never work!! to much setting up and fluffing about, a couple of lines and I'm away :8::8: theres loads of stuff like this K-TEL used to make it starts with R

made me laugh that the voice over says 'only minimal pressure required to bed tiles as the ultra spreader gives 99% coverage' at around 1.08..just as the guy in the vid is laying what looks to be a stinky 'lipper' next to the tile to the left!..followed by some more lippers in the grouting scene directly after..like all great ideas about re-inventing the wheel, good idea..not sure about the reality..diy?..yeah I can see it being easier for someone who's not used to troweling..I might hold off on this one tho personally!

Great if the floors are perfectly flat to start with, as stated far to much faffing around to set up

Id like to see them use it on walls
what a load of old rubbish by the time i messed around with the nuts and bolts and dropping them and finding replacements! it would be in the skip!
and how many people spread adhesive to do one row at a time?

But her legs were ok a bit skinny but nice

nice idea for large commercial work with bang on floors..one lad speading, one following on fixing...anything else and it aint worth the hassle imo

Sounds good in theory, but the guy is not bedding the tiles well though, I'd like to see it once the addy has gone off and sucked the tiles to the floor, betya there's lipping then! Waste of time for me in my work, although some of the areas are big, I get lots of halls and foyers/kitchens which are too narrow for one of these to save any time imo. Nice try, better luck next time. Too much of a faff I reckon.

Would have been more convincing if the floors werent so good in the demo, even the one where they put a shim under the level wasnt bad:lol:

And how can you avoid lippage in uncallibrated slate? adhesive will help to some extent but not when the tile is riven with the large depth discrepancies we find every time we work with the stuff.

how much do these retail at?
