We had underfloor heating installed in our bathroom but it’s not working.
Seems like the plunder filleted the sensor near the radiator, the thermostat reads 35C but the floor is not warm. What do we to do please?

This is electric underfloor heating you're talking about, right?

If so the thermostat 'clock' should have a couple of settings, one being to work on the air sensor inside the thermostat controller, and the other to work off the sensor under the floor. The default is to work off the floor sensor first and you can switch it to work off the floor sensor.

What's the make of it?

Did you see for sure it was installed?

Did your plumber do the tiling and install the ufh too?

Heatmiser is the thermostat controller manufacturer I don't think they make the ufh too. Maybe they do now.

But electric floor heating would generally kick in when the room is below what the controller is set at. So if it isn't coming on at all then the tiles by the rad may be warmer than 22ish.

The fact it's near a radiator that can run at 60° itself at the boiler, would mean it would never kick in.

Ideally that needs installing about shoulder height but can be knee height. But not near a rad or window.

Generally you'd be setting it at about 22 and it should come on when the rad is off. So try turning that off first perhaps.

Is the digital display coming on for sure?

When first installed you're meant to condition the floor.

So bring the stat up 1 degree at a time per day, from the first day when ufh is at its coldest, so would come on at 16 even. Then run that for 24 hours then 17. And then bring it back down to working temp from top temp over a couple of days too.

This gets the floor prepared for the heat in a controlled way.
