When my Dad was alive he used make small items of furniture, he loved his wood, I have a few of his books and was looking for a name when joining the forum...

whitebeam is a name of a tree which is native to most European chalk and limestone areas..

I just went to images in google and entered whitebeam tree As it turns out I think that's the one in our front garden no-one ever knows what it is...

I can see i have been really boring and don't need to explain my user name I would prefer just Barry i don't mean "Just Barry" i mean Barry im sure you realise or even Baz would be good.Maybe Baz is a better speller? 8 of us have a come dine with me night we all take turns to go round each others house and cook everything from scratch.Now we have been adding a theme to the evening,the next one we have to dress up to whatch the Rocky Horrer film.I think i'm going to look like everything dissgused so far:lol:If i pluck up enough courage may upload pics:yikes:

mine is a wierd one.. I got christened Derry Brown as I apparently had the bald patch of Derren Brown mixed with the flowing locks of Shaun Derry (who is also my footballing idol!)
The hair is now all gone but Derry has always stuck. If i'm lucky i get Derry Conkers, Derry Bulmers or Derry Baldex.... yeah I know!
