mark, as i said earlier in the thread, i've been using this machine for 18 months or so and its a great little cutter and reasonably priced. it's pretty quiet and it don't make much mess. if mine packs in i'll be straight back to topps for another one.

I live a bit further than the end of the Earth Mike - on Orkney:smilewinkgrin: - and I've just taken delivery of a DeWalt D24000 off Tradetiler He only has one location, but an excellent delivery service

Hi Merlocollins I have had the Vitrex 750 for some time now, it does everything I ask of it, not bad for a sub £100 wet cutter. I did change the blade to a marcrist and have cut 10mm porcaline floor tiles with it. I'm not a tiler but a kitchen fitter.

On a slightly seperate note I have been looking for a a stand for the 750 and I was in Axminster tool centre in High Wycombe today and they had one on display £43 seemed very strong for that sort of money (Item number200044 Axminster.co.uk)

Is that platform on the bench big enough for the Vitrex cutter to sit on?

Yes that's the one, seemed very solid when I pushed on it sideways, should have bought it while I was there but I had spent too much as it was. The top looked to be large enough, they had a large mitre saw on top of it in the showroom.
