If you agreed 120 a day each, wouldn't you just get 120 a day each for as long as the job took or was it 120 a day each just one day? Day rate isn't a fixed price, so you've said 120 a day. And not a fixed price of 120 and the job will take one day.

So if it took you both three days you'd both get top line 360 and perhaps could have done it all, without the tanking and the builder has the problems in a year or so.

Or perhaps it is just 1 day at 120?

Tomorrow i was due to start a floor over an hour away, today she tells me that the painters are in and the might need hallway too and the phone is being connected,i told her" ring me when they're all done and i might get back next tuesday" and thats if i finish a marble bathroom which i have pulled forward to tomorrow.

you done right nybor,in your other thread i see your wanting to set up on your own.

my business is a mix of private work and also subby work,,it works well for me as there is always something on the go and its not always at subby rates,i think your right to try this out mate that way if you choose not to work for a certain company you can fall back on your pricate work its a good mix
