want to get in to tiling what should i do???

hi guys my name is sam.im a lorry driver at the mo but would like to do somthing new i have worked in the builing trade before and tiling has been 1 trade i;ve always wanted to have a go at and would like to do a course!!

Might be wise to partake in a course and see if this is what you might want to do..

first step is to get training, then take on jobs to fit in around your driving as its not easy to get established at the moment

theres for more demand for drivers than tilers

and of course spend your life on here and absorb the information as theres a lot more to tiling than meets the eye

hi drivin was a good idea at the time i have past my classs 1 as well but no 1 will give me a job as they all seem to want 2year s exp how do you get it when no 1 will give you the chance!

I get the occasional call from agencies looking for drivers. im not registered with them but they ring on the off chance that im short of work will go for it

and I dont hold a class one , so its multidrop van driving

lots more driving jobs than tiling jobs about

i do multi drop at mo 7am till 5 or later alot of it is haz stuff but the money is so poor dnt even earn 300 aweek just like to try something new not saying i will get loads of money tiling but it must have good days and bad.im 32 now and can not aford to get a place with my girl freind as we both earn pants money.i no it will take along time to get going as have read the post on here which has been very helpful is it a good trade to have or am i in another 1 of my dream worlds

thats about the money I was offered take home after tax by multi staff in Dunstable

it is a good trade but takes time to establish and get your books full

to be honest you will earn more window cleaning if its just the money you are after

tiling is more a vocation than a living

the reality is we are our own worst critics and always feel we could have done better
