Washboy mistake

Tilers Forums Official Sponsors

Having used my Karl Dahn washboy for the last 8 years which has done me well,I lost two of my castor wheels from the washboy so decided to get a new one from Tradetiler but the castors are out of stock so like a fool I looked to see whats on offer on Amazon, and decided on a Genesis Pro washboy what a big mistake, this is no way a pro washboy flimsy plastic and the first time I used it broke one of the castors,so now back using the KD washboy and am now thinking about getting another KD washboy when the castors are back in stock, a complete waste of 40 quid lesson learned.:31:

Can't beat a KD washboy.
My ex bussi partner had a Rubi one, horrible thing & a disaster waiting to happen.

Yes I do agree with you Stef I rushed into it buying the Genesis like a fool I had to change the roller nuts for locking nuts, very cheaply made although I paid 40 quid the firm said they retail for 50 quid total rubbish,I purchased two from Lidls once for 12 quid each they lasted me a couple years.

Two of mine were £25 from the market and top quality. Rollers aren't maybe as strong but the plastic is identical. First one I got was close to £50 and split after a week and flexed after a fill of water. 😳

I have never been able to get on with a wash boy.....still use the good old bucket and sponge, even on 100m floor...lol

Andy get a Karl Dahm for floors, you won't go back to a bucket & sponge unless its a small floor.
I don't use a washboy for walls though.
