I read somewhere not long ago that b&q were set to stock a foam core, waterproof backerboard, well I called in there today for a couple of none work related bits and spotted them. This was in a large Sheffield branch so not sure if the smaller branches have them I read somewhere not long ago that b&q were set to stock a foam core, waterproof backerboard, well I called in there today for a couple of none work related bits and spotted them. This was in a large Sheffield branch so not sure if the smaller branches have them but here they are. Price wise, considering it’s b and q wasn’t bad. Im not sure on the brand. I’m happy to see them there tho, it’s a step in the right direction!

Price looks excellent actually. Board-fix (Jackoboard) is regularly used by me (via CTD) and it is considerably more than that!

The downside though (compared to maybe a few extra quid at CTD):
You have to queue for absolutley ages (in Preston anyway) whilst Grandad Smith buys 6 wood screws for a home project, followed by Mr&Mrs Jones buying laminate flooring - all NON-TRADE in Trade Point! 😡
And there's no easy local delivery unless you believe their claims.

That panel looks very familier, but good to see big stores now stocking specialist products. If anyone requires Tile Backerboard we'd be able to supply 6, 10, 12 and 20mm boards on a next day delivery at very very competitive prices.
