Hi All,
While in at the merchants today picking up materials fro a couple of jobs I came across Dukkaboard shower trays and sheets. Very light in comparison to hardie and can also act to strengthen floors without the need to ply then overboard with cement board.
I am contemplating using it on a wet room I have coming up and was looking for a bit of advice fro anyone with experience. Floor is currently tiled on ply however there has been water getting below the tile so am going to remove the old tray and sub which leaves me with bare floorboards.
My thinking is that I install dukka shower tray then onto the bare floorboards I overlay 10mm dukkaboard and fix with screws and washers, lay ufh mat onto the dukkaboard which I have been assused will stick and lay slc to level floor and protect uhf. BUT here is my query..do I apply a membrane such as homelux over slc then tile as normal or apply the matting to the dukkaboard, ufh, slc, tile??
As mentioned I have never come across this product and wasn't a used of hardie.
Thanks all and any advice is appreciated.
