wet saw

Hi,
can anyone recommend a portable wet saw that will handle
Porcelain.

The smaller the better.

Get a little briccollina m8, do a google search for it
Bought mine through EMC??
You won't be disappointed.

The Briccolina or a small vitrex are good cutters....

ive went through 2 Briccolinas the motors keep giving up i love them but they keep giving up on me
if i used a different blade and cut the nib off would this work?

I ground the nib off of mine but can't even remember what blade I have in it just now.

I ground the nib off and bought a replacement blade from Tradetiler....worked fine.

I have done on few occasions but don't force the tile into the blade otherwise the motor will slow down just let it cut at it's own rate of speed.

Vitrex 750, takes everything you throw at it once you fit a decent blade. Very low water spray too.

I've never had a problem with mine, as already said don't force the tile let the saw do the work.
Think I've had mine about 2 years & it's been a great wee cutter,
Need to keep it clean though as the blade likes to stick on start up.

A handy little cutter,mines got the original blade which is fine for ceramic but can struggle on the porcs.Think its time to invest in one .

I did find the original blade tended to chip ceramics thats why I changed mine.

I bought a Marcrist 850 for mine but I wasn't happy with it chipping tiles so it got changed.
Reminds me need to send it back & try & get my money back.
I will check tomorrow what blades in mine.

It was a Sankyo blade can't remember the bore size though, give Dave at Tradetiler a call and he will know.

if you want to cut a lot of porcelain I would spend a bit more and get a rubi nd 200..

Good choice. Would recommend a Right Lines Ltd Tile Slicer blade for it. 30 quid and turns it into a very capable saw for the money.

There's a reversible flange so either the 16 or 22mm 180 wheel will do. Google Right Lines and you'll find it, they have an eBay shop too.
