I'm doing a bathroom for my mate. He wants the corners mitred and he is going for marble or travertine. Can travertine be mitered??? Would it be better to polish corners instead of mitreing? What do you think.
Thank you
Jason:welcome:🙄

hi jason yes you can do both its up to customer show him his options ,my choice is mitre but its up to customer:8:

I would rather put a rounded edge on travertine, as it can be a bit soft and get broken easily, and unless you have mitred before it can be a bit tricky and time consuming.

if you do mitre them, I'd soften the corners down with a polishing pad/rubbing stone, to avoid any sharp edges:thumbsup:

mitre but get some polyester resin to fill the joint then as doug suggested ease edge with your polisher/sand paper

Rounded and polished edges for Travertine/Marble for me.
Softens the look and keeps the strength on the corners.

Thanks for the tip about polyester resin i will see what it like and then ask the customer thinks
thank lads:thumbsup:
