what do you use to clean your hands up?

Since all the thinsets and grouts are alkali a little jug of cheap white vinegar works wonders to stop the dry skin and set your pH right.
I pack a small plastic jug costs about $2 and use it occasionally throughout the day and at the end.
No more split skin under my nails since I started doing that.
Those little splits hurt.

latex gloves for me and norwiegen hand cream in the car and plenty baby wipes. and if you forget them i find doing the washing up the old fashioned way helps get all those last bits off

i had major problems with the skin on my hands , i now wear latex gloves for tiling and the marigold tough rubber gloves for grouting and they come in black so you dont look like a big nancy boy!! hands are now perfect no more snagging on the mrs's stockings..

I use the gloves in a bottle that grumpy recommended. Have to say it works a treat. don't wear the gloves all the time but skin still alot better. Cheers Grumps:thumbsup:

After putting a stanley knife half way through my finger last week I've been wearing marigolds to keep it dry. Will be wearing for grouting from now on!! If your hands are cracking then this stuff works wonders Neutrogena Hand Cream - Protec Direct PPE

I use Dermashield as a barrier cream (stuff stops 40% hydrochloric acid!) and then just a wash with soap and water after work. It even stops the crusty bits forming around the nails.

The neutrogena is brilliant at repairing damaged split hands - recommended.

If I dont have the Dermashield on, then I wear disposable nitriles for grouting.
