Now you've made your point Is it worth considering offering to book it in again( at your convenience) but with a very hefty deposit. 70sq.mtrs is quite a job and it's an opportunity to demonstrate not anyone can do that kind of work. And you can rub it in every day you're there.

To be really honest I don't need that sort of work. In my experience you have to trust your gut instinct and mine says that if someone has the front to ditch you at the eleventh hour (I'd have been quite happy just to price for comparison origanally!..she shouldn't have agreed a price and booked me!) then the odds are that you'll have trouble no matter how well you do the job.
I'm the same as everyone here I'm sure, in that I'm a slave to the wage..but you can work for anyone for nothing...and they've already shown their colours....I'd love to be a fly on the wall when she talks to the builder tho!...:thumbsup:

That's a good point. The trust is broken :thumbsup:

Please ring her back and get her to send some pictures so we can have a laugh

I'd love to Colour, but I reckon after our conversation there's no chance!..
Her:"so when WOULD you be available?"
me :" I haven't got the diary in front of me at the moment, but i couldn't hazzard a guess off the top of my head"
Her: "well I can only assume you have more work than you can handle"
Me: " that happens when you're any good unfortunately"
Silence...
:lol::lol::lol:

i would take it back on,but would leave her with the last possible date on the diary,i would re-iterate how your quality work never leaves you short of customers and your time is like gold dust,also i would be charging significantly more to rectify mistakes letting her know how much longer the job is going to take because she wanted to save a few quid and cut corners.............hopefully the message will start to pass among people that not anybody can do our job !:mad2:
