what sort of days and hours do you all work....
is it possible to earn a good wage mon to fri? days?

I generally work monday to friday regular daytime hours, and yeah you can definately earn a good wage like this.
The thing is you will have good weeks and bad weeks, ups and downs.

24hrs i work ( not at once) Quite regularly work through the nights on shops etc.

Normally I would like to get to the job before 9am and work through till 5pm as I have things like taking the wife to work and daughter to nursery etc to take into account.

I work the hours needed to complete the job and within reason the hours that is best for the customer if they ask for a certain date and time for the work to be carried out.

I start work at 7.30am and finish at 4.30, 5 days a week and on average £1000 most weeks.

some guys can lay 80 + mts a week some only 25 mts it depends how fast you are ete

i put in as many hours the customer allows & i feel doing!
usually start b4 9am - 6pm aprox!

Only done 3 jobs and on all 3 worked late (7-8pm ish) to get it done in time i priced it for..

8-8:30 start and to whatever's needed. If i get to sealing stage at 2 and done by 3 then thats the day over! Finish laying tiles at 5 and ready to grout then on i go.

Sooner your finished sooner you get the cheque.

This week nowt on till Weds. Bathroom floor to lay and then bathroom walls so when i get there ill work like an idiot to finish the job asap. Then got a floor to do Monday that might take 3-4 days then back onto finish some site work thats been held up!

All or nothing some times int it so needs must, however if its a good payer then maybe string it out for a bit and take it easy.

On my commercial job id caught other trades up and couldnt go onto anywhere else as booked myself out for the week.

I just took it easy with 8-8:30 starts and 3 or 4:00 finishes but was still ahead of the game and as on price didnt matter to me really.
