What If

Taken from another post asking the question about "IF" and watching an advert when a women confronts herself about smoking.

What would you say to yourself if you could go back and speak and advise yourself at a younger age what you should change about yourself with the knowledge you have now.

Me,I would have told myself to sign on the army for another 3 years, although I was in the balance at the time and the N Ireland troubles were the going concern then and some great mates, how my life would have been so different.

Just a thought though but hindsight is a great thing.

I'd tell myself to go for it and study art, no matter what anyone thinks, that high impact exercises are just no good for you and that during our teenage years and in our 20's we look and feel the best we ever will, so to enjoy what looks we have then! Oh, and not to rush into marriage.....

there will always be what if's... I try not to dwell on them as it is nothing you can change once it's passed.

Only 1 thing i really regret is that we didnt make a bigger push to be signed when I was in my band.
sadly talent and attitude only get you so far. Its application and hard work that gets you the distance. At least I can apply that moto to anything I do on the future

Mark, good conversation topic. I would definately not play football again. Too many injuries, and every stinking day something hurts.:frown5: I do wish that I had kept playing baseball.

I should have stayed away when I left who would someday be an ex-wife. But I went back and got married, and you can guess how that went.:mad2:


I wish I had stuck with the bass guitar.


I wish I had made a few financial decisions differently in years passed.

thats a good one doug and shows that happy endings do happen when odds seem against you.
I know the heartache it causes having been there also but to carry on after multiple occurences shows strengh of character
