so why has a 10lt tub of adhesive gone to a 15kg tub but the tubs are the same size?

Cos that aint water. Some years ago Biscem changed the formula of their ready mixed adhesive ( Actually I believe it was when Bostick bought them out) They used Gypsum in the adhesive and it seemed it weighed more. You could hardly lift a bucket.

I think factors sush as denisty etc plays its part in this also so its not always as simple as converting litres to weight.

Salt water (sea) for example is apparently heavier than than fresh water.

What did they teach you guys at school ....?? Yes, density - as to the salt water, that is why salt water makes you more buoyant ...

Is it because tubbed is full of crap?

Thats a BIG bath and a lot of water. My megaflow is 250lts and its massive god knows what they will need to fill that

Just to be really really pedantic ...... cos I feel like it ......... 300 litres of pure liquid water has a mass of 300kg. Mass and Weight are technically different measurements so actually the weight would need to be measured in Newtons so that would be Mass times Gravity so it would weight 300kg x 9.81.

Also if it were 300 litres of ice which would have a slightly higher density than liquid water due to the reduction in molecular and atomic excitement in the solidified water so it would weigh slightly more.

Also if it were 300litres of Water Vapour it would weigh next to nothing

All of the above of course relates to pure water which judging by the colour of it is not what comes out of my kitchen tap at the moment........

Here come the comments - I know no one like a smart alec
