What is your floor leveling rates?

Levelling a floor is prep work or am I missing something? My rates would include setting datums etc.

I couldn't easily level 100 metres by lunch time . I could smooth 100 metres by lunch time .

On a large area I'm sure you could if you think about it.
Perhaps I shouldn't have stated that as in some aspects I may be quicker at achieving a good outcome due to my previous personal experience but in other areas I may be slower than some, mitreing tiles being one example.

So it's prep to prep work ). (you still need clean , prime, close all gaps etc.)

I charge for priming, but cleaning and stop gapping are like sharpening your pencil, unless it's some thing out of the ordinary. As I said min half a days wages or £4 mtr which ever is more.

same as that. I give them a price per bag used I find it the easiest way.

So if a floor needs 3 bags worth of leveller that'll take 30mins or an hour to do, what do you charge them? You have to get the material, drive there, prep it and install it. I could be missing something here and am keen as hell to learn.

Materials supplied. Just prep and latex. I usually charge per hour or day, but for large floor it's bit different( you can actually earn good money?). Same as tiling , we all do sq.m rates. but if it's too small job, it's day rate.

if I was just smoothing Mrs Smiths kitchen floor with say weber floor flex it would £30 to £35 per bag, like you say its an hour. But is that to cheap by the time uv picked it up and that? What would you say?

Day rate for me. Or on smaller jobs - built into the price with consideration for time taken.
I hate hefting loads of bags and buckets so I usually charge a bit more than I normally would. Take it ot leave it Mr customer. If they want to get someone else to do it, fine by me! But if it hasn't not been done right and I still need to correct it.... well it can end up costing more than just getting it done right first time around.

What size is the floor? How much do you pay for that leveller? How many bags approx will you need? And how far have you to travel?

I was thinking to start charging per bag of adhesive, for tiling

I don't know why you would do that . Labour one rate . Materials another .
