What trowel sizes does everyone carry with them.

Just been through my van and found 6 trowels all slightly different but with the same depth to them so now decided to organize myself again!

Generally I carry 4/8/10/13 and a 20mm trowels No preference to any brand and it got me thinking as to what everyone else is carrying around.

I've got, the 4mm one that came with the schluter pack, then 6 and 10mm square Rubi, and a 10mm round notch Rubi.

few lasses round my way that probs have more than me for their make up.

I've got 23 different trowels in my van (Including floor laying ones), god knows what size they all are I just counted the handles I could see! Time for a tidy out me thinks!!

4, 6, 8, 10, 12, Round notch 16mm ish. Genesis Tiger, Large Rubi 12mm wooden handle, 2 plastering trowels for slc and numerous hand/bucket trowels.

All the regulars from 3mm to 16mm mainly square notch but 2 or 3 round notch ones plus 2 vee notch ones too. Only 1 bucket trowel though, we've been together for years :love:

I like to display my tiling trowels too - its like notches on my bedpost (when I was young enough) you can never have too many :lol: Mine include plastering, 3, 4.5, 6, 8, 10, 12, floor U notch, 6mm solid bed, and my latest acquisition a Genesis Tiger Trowel - the notches even look a bit like the bread from Tesco's. :8:

You are right - of course they are there for a reason. I have mine on a similar arrangement to get quick access during work - they are a critical part of the job we do. Having said that I have met a number of tilers (alright most I have met) who take great pride in all their equipment whether its cutters, trowels, or levels. And why not?

I was finishing early at a job and packing up to go to another but started raining heavily so I had to just throw all my gear in. There are 3 sigmas under there somewhere. At the next job the customer had a nice big garage for me to unload van and give a good tidy, just thought I'd give you all a wee laugh lol
