What van

Hi everyone,

I'm about to go on a tiling course and hopefully become self employed, could anyone tell me what is the best type of van to use, I was thinking of the Renault Kangoo, but there are other similar vans on the market and not really sure which to go for.

Ford Transit Connect, with SLD. Try looking at the BT website for some of their ex fleet deals. Thats where mine is from and its bang on.

I have gone for a Vauxhall Combo, it drives like a car and is very comfortable, it has a SLD, which is handy. A frined of mine has a garage that specialises in Renaults, the reason being that Renaults go wrong a lot. Also when I was looking for a van, the mechanic at one garage told me to steer clear of Renaults, so that was good enough for me.

I got a combo too mate, 2000 model, spotless with 58k on the box..... does the job for me at the moment..but very shortly will be requireing something bigger, maybe a transit connect or VW transporter. But this is only because i plan to start doing larger jobs that involve plastering and bathroom installation etc.

I have big plans for someone who only just learnt how to use a wash boy properly.

Oh yeah, make sure you have a roof rack, very handy for picking up plasterboard and stuff
